Elevate
Create Space for Collaboration and Improve the Student Experience.

On the Syracuse Campus, outdated buildings and labs are being brought into the 21st century. Student experience is being improved through new career development programs.

Marshall Hall

Marshall Hall completed a top-to-bottom transformation in 2023, and Illick Hall renovations will begin in 2025. But as with most construction projects, our needs go beyond what our state funding provides.

An ESF education extends beyond classrooms, labs, and studios. Our students have access to satellite campuses across New York State, including the Ranger School, Newcomb, and Cranberry Lake. We must ensure that all our learning environments are equipped with the tools our students need to keep pushing the boundaries of research and discovery.

In addition to improving our spaces, we must also elevate the student experience through career development opportunities, internships, and fellowship programs. We will provide our students with paid opportunities to explore career paths and gain valuable skills.

Target Impact

$2 million

On-campus students need up-to-date spaces equipped with the latest technology. They need comfortable areas for studying, visually pleasing spaces to exhibit their work and learn from the work of others, and flexible areas that can serve multiple purposes and be adapted to the needs at hand.

We will achieve this by transforming campus spaces to better serve the needs of today’s students.

We will focus on career development opportunities for our students so that they have the tools to excel in their chosen fields.
