Women's Soccer Team Blanks SUNY Delhi, 5-0
The Mighty Oaks women's soccer team wreaked havoc on the SUNY Delhi defense all game firing 11 shots on goal, 5 of which were goals.
Bridget Cuddihy lead the Mighty Oaks with three goals. Senior captain Ashley Miller scored a goal off a breakaway and junior Makayla McCormick scored a beautiful goal off a volley.
The goal keeper tandem of Kiki Hilmer and Megan Herbst kept their shutout streak alive. ESF is now the only team in the USCAA yet to allow a goal.
"Once we became accustomed to the wet turf conditions and Delhi's high offside traps, we were able to knock the ball around and get some goals," said freshman outside back Jessie Smith.
The women play back-to-back games facing off against Albany College of Pharmacy, Sept. 14 in Albany.
